We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Environmental Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Bedford, NH. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting consulting projects largely across the State of New Hampshire with some throughout New England. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

Develop technical expertise and project management competencies to advance into senior roles in environmental consulting or specialized technical positions.

Lead field operations including environmental site assessments, sampling programs, remediation oversight, and construction documentation.

Manage project coordination by delegating tasks to junior staff, ensuring deliverable quality, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Perform data analysis and technical reporting by interpreting field and laboratory results to develop environmental strategies and remedial recommendations.

Support business development through proposal preparation, project scoping, budgeting, and client presentations.

Maintain client relationships by delivering exceptional service, anticipating needs, and ensuring regulatory compliance with applicable state and federal standards.

Execute environmental due diligence including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and contaminated site investigations.

Adapt to evolving technical challenges by mastering new methodologies and independently managing routine to complex assignments.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology with 6+ years of relevant experience in site assessments, contaminated site investigations, and remediation projects.

Possess or be working toward Professional Engineering (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.

Expert knowledge in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remedial designs.

Experience with NHDES, Brownfields, and Superfund regulatory frameworks is preferred.

Strong organizational and time management abilities with flexibility to manage shifting priorities, budgets, and multiple project timelines.

Demonstrated client-service orientation with collaborative approach to team leadership and stakeholder management.

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting, walking and, at times, bending and prolonged standing.

Must be able to visit project sites and use heavy field equipment, power tools, and ladders as required.

The work requires both indoor and outdoor activity in temperatures ranging from moderate to extreme cold or hot and other weather conditions.

Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment as required.

Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers is required.

Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
