As the Stress Analyst in support of FBM Missile Programs you will be responsible for performing preliminary and detailed level stress analysis of missile flight structures and mechanisms, electronic components, and ground and test support equipment using standardized processes and tools. You will review and coordinate stress analysis and provide technical mentorship to less experienced stress analysts and actively support knowledge transfer.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Generating stress analysis technical memorandums and reports to support data packages, peer reviews, and external customer reviews

Preparing technical charts and represent the organization in design reviews and outside contracts

Supporting static structural test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis while understanding and incorporating other applicable mechanical (thermal, dynamic, materials, etc) and system level requirements/parameters into the stress analyses

Supporting development of weight-optimized, compliant flightworthy components and structural assemblies which satisfy the contractual design criteria as well as any producibility requirements defined by Manufacturing and Quality Engineering

WHAT YOU WOULD BRING TO THE ROLE:

Ability to work onsite at our Waterton, CO facility 75% or more, with the ability to occasionally work from home.

1-3 years of relevant work experience

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Knowledge or Experience with NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent technologies

Knowledge or Experience with composites, production, new design, or buckling analysis.

Knowledge of how to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform structural analysis

Knowledge of and applicable experience with missile, spacecraft, aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position

Ability to communicate highly technical content to any level of audience

Experience with Abaqus, Matlab, Mathcad and/or CREO

Technical or team leadership experience

Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment

Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently

Non-linear, fracture & fatigue, and buckling analysis experience

Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience

Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware

Active Top Secret security clearance
