Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician with experience in Civil 3D to support municipal infrastructure projects. This role involves producing high-quality engineering drawings and collaborating closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Use Civil 3D to develop, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and 3D models for municipal infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to prepare design plans and construction documents
- Ensure all CAD work adheres to local municipal standards and industry best practices
- Maintain organized project files and ensure proper version control and documentation
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Support the continuous improvement of CAD standards and workflows
- Stay current with CAD software updates and emerging technologies
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer-Aided Design, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar CAD drafting role
- Proficiency in Civil 3D is required; experience with MicroStation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Must be available to work onsite in the Milwaukee office five days per week
