Survey Crew Chief

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-person survey crew (and occasionally work solo) on:
  • Construction layouts
  • As-built surveys
  • Topographic and boundary surveys
  • ALTA surveys
• Use Trimble equipment: GPS base/rover units, VRS networks, Robotic total stations, Digital level, TSC7 data collectors, and TBC software.
• Work on diverse projects: commercial, industrial, multifamily, pedestrian trails, and upcoming INDOT projects.

• 35+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
• Strong knowledge of construction layout and survey standards
• A go-getter attitude proactive, positive, and solutions-focused
• Must live within 6075 minutes of Indianapolis
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
• Willing to follow a Survey Standards Manual and meet quality benchmarks

• Start around 7:30 AM (earlier in summer); average 4045 hrs/week
• Minimal overnight travel (1 night/month max)
• Start your day from home, not the office (unless under 2 years of experience)

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
