Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic

Summary

You will make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment such as excavators, loaders and more . Applicants should have extensive experience with diesel heavy equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems for all types of construction equipment.

• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

• Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.

• Ability to assess all equipment to determine cause of issue or failures.

• Knowledge of DOT truck and trailer inspections

• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 77

• High School education or equivalent

• 3-5 years experience preferred.

• Have your own transportation (no public transportation available)

• Great people and communication skills

• Organized

• Available to work overtime as needed on short notice.

• Have own hand tools.

• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and uneven surfaces.

• Able to lift 50lbs.

• Welding certifications preferred.

• Willingness to learn additional responsibilities.
