We are seeking a Facilities Operations Manager with a strong background in facilities operations, someone who thrives in coordinating with employees and vendors, and who brings exceptional organizational, project management, and customer service skills. We seek experience managing technical spaces, such as laboratory, precision fabrication, cleanroom, or metrology environments. This role involves overseeing a diverse number of locations across the United States as well as internationally.
Job Requirements:
The base salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $165,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer an annual bonus and equity in the company.
Job Requirements:
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all facilities functions, covering both office and technical spaces.
- Oversee the Office Management team to ensure the exceptional upkeep and meticulous maintenance of all properties, cultivating environments that embody professionalism, safety, and operational excellence while fostering a sense of community.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of facility policies and programs for both existing and new facilities.
- Negotiate maintenance and facilities-related service agreements with landlords, developers, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage budgets, control expenditures, and approve payments within authorized limits.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, maintenance contracts, permits, and insurance requirements.
- Manage office buildouts / renovations in the US, including coordination and management of contractors, consultants and vendors.
- Partner with Atoms technical leads to assess lab space support requirements, including HVAC, humidity control, UPS/backup generator options and power capacity needs. This role will be instrumental in coordinating Atoms lab expansion project.
- Develop and deploy an off-hours emergency response plan. Required to coordinate response to emergencies occurring outside of normal business hours
- Manage ramp and operation of international office space.
- Collaborate with leadership to address space planning and workflow optimization.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in business or Facilities Management, a plus but not required.
- 7+ years working knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, construction projects and real estate/lease administration
- Proven history of successful leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Experience managing technical spaces, such as laboratory, precision fabrication, cleanroom, or metrology environments.
- Requires knowledge of property management, facilities management practices and procedures to include maintenance, contract negotiations, construction support, project planning, project bidding and budgeting.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Must have good communication, decision making, planning, management and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with technical and operational management, developers and vendors to meet deadlines and keep projects on target.
- Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret project plans, contracts, leases and related documents.
- Strong oral / written communication skills, persuasion and negotiation skills.
