Equipment Operator - Yard Loader

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Loader Operator for our New Harvey Sand plant in Tracy, IA. The primary responsibility will be running a front end loader to load customer trucks. Other operation of heavy equipment will be required as needed. This is a day shift role.

Essential Functions

• Perform daily inspection of vehicle
• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment
• Operate front-end loader to load customer trucks
• Ensure all site visitors adhere to all Federal and Martin Marietta standards
• Move materials from portable plant to appropriate stock piles

Education and Experience

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
• Bi-lingual is a plus

• Must have professional and technical approach
• Proactive in safety
• Works well independently as well as in a team environment

Working conditions

This job will require travel to multiple sites. Larger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
