- Meet with general superintendent and assist project superintendents with the project 'office-to-field' handoff meeting.
- Proactively monitor and ensure profitable operations on a project-by-project basis.
- Establish, update, and monitor all project budgets and schedules before the pre-construction conference or handoff meeting is held.
- Perform site visits to all projects to evaluate project status, progress, safety, quality, and profitability.
- Prepare accurate and timely submittals for construction projects, where required, based on project drawings and specifications, and administer during the construction process.
- Responsible for timely close-out documents.
- Facilitate the completion of any necessary sub-tiered subcontractor's contracts and verify all pricing, scope, schedule, and insurance are properly accounted for.
- Report project updates and performance with assistance from management.
- Review and complete any necessary forms such as subcontractor or supplier lists within the general contractor agreement.
- Prepare schedule of values and review contract for scope of work, contract price, etc.
- Prepare pre-construction checklist.
- Review updated drawings for changes to work and write request for change orders, as necessary.
- Examine bid documents, specifications, and other project documents to assess if projects are a good fit and worth an estimate.
- Participate in all pre-construction meetings with the Project Superintendent, General Contractor, Owner, and Architect.
- Act as a point of contact between General Contractors, Owners, Engineers, Architects, Vendors, and Suppliers.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors.
- 2-5 years of construction project management or estimation experience, preferably within commercial concrete, asphalt, or paving.
- 2-year degree, preferably related to construction or civil engineering, or 2+ years of experience as a construction project manager.
- Leadership and time management qualities to act as a daily point of contact between stakeholders.
- Comfortable with numbers and technology, capable of performing complex analysis of collected data.
- Well-organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
- Familiarity with computer programs such as PlanGrid, Procore, and Building Connected.
- Experience with concrete, asphalt, excavating, or paving.
- Experience with PlanGrid, Procore, or Building Connected is a plus.
sThis role is 100% in office, working 5 days a week, with no Saturday work required. The typical workweek ranges from 40-50 hours, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The company will be moving into a new modern office in Brighton in 2025. Depending on the candidate's experience, there may be more or less field work involved.
