Job Description The Project Engineer will be traveling 50% of the time to automotive facilities, assisting the Project Manager in quoting new projects and overseeing installation. Typically, they are not out of town for more than 3 weeks before returning to Birmingham. Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager with quoting new projects.
- Oversee the installation of projects at automotive facilities.
- Schedule project timelines and activities.
- Attend client meetings to discuss project progress.
- Write purchase orders (POs) for necessary materials.
- Procure materials required for projects.
- Contribute to design tasks as needed.
- Experience in project management.
- Knowledge in industrial engineering and manufacturing engineering.
- Skills in project coordination and project engineering.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience with capital expenditure (capex) projects.
- Ability to manage project timelines.
- Mechanical Engineering graduate with industrial experience preferred.
- Construction Management graduates may be considered but will face a learning curve.
- Autocad experience is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with PLC/Controls is a plus.
