Project Estimator

Essential Functions:

• Estimate the costs for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans, drawings, and project specifications to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential information, assess site conditions, and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including itemized quantities and unit costs for various project components.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids and negotiate favorable terms.
• Analyze costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, to determine accurate project estimates.
• Suggest value engineering options to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties in cost estimates and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for clients that meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure a seamless transition from the estimating phase to the construction phase.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimating activities and documents for future reference and auditing purposes
