- Review and provide feedback on construction documents from engineers and consultants.
- Evaluate construction sequencing and alternative delivery strategies, offering recommendations.
- Validate construction costs, monitor budget adherence, and suggest corrective actions for deviations.
- Review and track construction schedules, ensuring compliance and addressing issues.
- Conduct regular site observations to assess quality and craftsmanship.
- Review contractor payment requests and associated documentation.
- Evaluate shop drawings, submittals, and construction reports.
- Participate in coordination meetings with contractors and design teams.
- Assess and report on change orders, evaluating their impact on cost and schedule.
- Facilitate resolution of construction and design issues.
- Oversee brownfield demolition and new line installation within an operational facility.
- Coordinate closely with operations to minimize disruption and ensure safety.
- Lead extensive planning efforts and manage weekend work schedules.
- 10-15+ years of progressive experience in Construction Management.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish from the Owner/Operators perspective.
- Strong background in Electrical & Instrumentation, along with Mechanical expertise.
- Proven experience in FSQR (Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory) within food or beverage manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success in managing brownfield projects and equipment installation.
- Strong understanding of construction phasing in live production environments.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Protein facility construction experience is an asset.
