Job Description The Construction Project Coordinator will support Construction Project Managers in overseeing new customer construction projects with one of the state's largest utilities. This role involves managing projects post-approved design and leading them through execution phases including planning, scheduling, construction, energization, as-builts, restoration, and closeout. The Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities
- Evaluate needs for easements and/or permits.
- Verify field readiness for work execution.
- Ensure materials are adequate and available for timely construction.
- Schedule field work orders to meet in-service expectations.
- Update status, tasks, and dates in the work-management system.
- Communicate with external and internal agencies to address stakeholder questions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design issues with consultation from internal design support.
- Working knowledge and application of company standards, tariffs, policies, applicable codes, and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and transmission and distribution construction standards.
- Proficiency in using computer tools, including AutoCAD and work management systems.
- Ability to understand and apply engineering and design concepts from construction plans.
- Skills in project management for planning and executing projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal customers.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field with one year of project management experience in transmission or distribution construction.
- Associate Degree in a related discipline with three years of construction/customer project experience in transmission or distribution construction.
- High School Diploma and five years of combined experience in design or construction project management.
- Valid driver's license.
