Job Summary
The Field Manager Cabinet Division is responsible for overseeing cabinet installation projects from pre-install readiness through final completion. This role ensures high-quality installations that meet builder timelines, project specifications, and safety standards. The Field Manager coordinates with subcontractors, monitors material flow, and partners with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Level I:
Shadow experienced Field Managers to learn installation and inspection processes
Supervise independent contractors and monitor cabinet installations on-site
Track and manage cabinet materials to ensure accuracy and availability
Perform quality checks to uphold ILG standards
Coordinate schedules with builders and installers to meet production deadlines
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Level II (Includes Level I functions):
Independently oversee full-cycle cabinet installations from scheduling to punch-list
Conduct pre- and post-install inspections and verify workmanship
Resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently to avoid delays
Assist in warranty inspections and minor service coordination
Perform other duties as assigned
Level III (Includes Level II functions):
Train and mentor new Field Managers; provide performance feedback to leadership
Act as a cabinet subject matter expert and resource for escalated field issues
Support the Customer Service team on complex installations or repairs
Ensure new team members meet or exceed quality assurance standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Level I:
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
1+ year of relevant cabinet or construction experience
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, builders, and installers
Basic computer skills; comfort using tablets and mobile applications
Ability to read construction plans and installation documents
Strong written communication for field reports and job site documentation
Proficient with basic math and measurements (e.g., linear feet, percentages)
Level II:
All Level I qualifications
4+ years of cabinet installation or field supervision experience
Previous experience leading a field crew or overseeing subcontractors
Working knowledge of adjacent trades such as countertops or flooring
Level III:
All Level II qualifications
7+ years of field experience in cabinet installations
Proven ability to manage large-scale or multi-phase installation projects
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout job sites for 8+ hours
Occasional lifting, carrying, and handling of cabinet materials required
Work Environment:
Primary work conducted on active construction sites
Occasional office-based duties for reporting, scheduling, or team meetings
