Supervisor - Insurance and Subrogation

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Job Inputs:

  • Provide leadership, development, and strategic direction to a team of Subrogation Specialists
  • Manage collection on about 5,000-10,000 subrogation claims per year
  • Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual subrogation and claim reports
  • Present program to prospects and customers
  • Ensure team stays up to date on relevant insurance changes in the marketplace
  • Vendor management to ensure we are using the best 3rd parties
  • Prepare monthly individual contributor KPIs for discussion and review in monthly employee 1 on 1 development meetings
  • Handles client issues as needed
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Objects preferred

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in related area as an individual contributor
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
  • Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Collision repair, insurance industry, collections, or financial experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Outputs:

  • Ensure timely follow up by subrogation team with legal, law firms, third parties and insurance companies.
  • Ensure the maximum return on each claim submitted, of which ARI receives a percentage as revenue.
  • Grow participation in the Arbitration Forum case hearing effort, to align with Arbitration Forum expectations.
  • Ensuring state requirements are updated and we are targeting state maximums for collections

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $81,210.00 - $117,760.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
