Quality Control Supervisor**
**Job Description**
The Quality Control Supervisor will manage quality control inspectors, implement quality control standards and oversee quality inspection activities. This role involves preventing problems by ensuring designs meet standards and tolerances, conducting inspections on samples from new production runs to validate accuracy, and maintaining detailed records and reports of measurements, defects, and deviations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prevent problems by working with engineers and others to ensure designs meet standards and tolerances.
+ Conduct inspections on samples from new production runs to validate accuracy.
+ Maintain detailed records and reports of measurements, defects, and deviations.
+ Document non-conforming products and work with teams to address issues.
+ Participate in root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions.
+ Help develop and update inspection procedures and standards.
+ Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and provide guidance to operators.
+ Ensure that subcontractors meet quality standards.
+ Ensure that products are properly marked and identified, stored to prevent damage, and securely blocked for shipping.
**Essential Skills**
+ +5 years of supervisory experience
+ Proficiency in reading and explaining blueprints
+ Working knowledge of using a tape measure, calipers, gauges, micrometers, rulers
+ Experience working within steel fabrication, assembly or machining departments
+ Root cause analysis
+ Quality assurance
+ Quality management system
+ CMM
