JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer supports engineering design and execution throughout various project phases, including Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, and construction. This role contributes to both greenfield developments and major brownfield upgrades and expansions across the Company's hazardous liquids, gas, and water midstream infrastructure-including pipelines, terminals, facilities, trucking stations, and loading racks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of midstream pipeline and/or gas processing experience (preferred) OR 6+ years of refining or upstream oil & gas experience. (Required)
  • No Licensure or Certification Required.
  • Strong knowledge of API standards and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of PHMSA regulations, including DOT Part 195, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and relevant API Recommended Practices.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight (25-50%) for site visits, project execution, meetings, and training.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must comply with DOT random drug and alcohol screening requirements.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

  • Apply Company technical standards, design criteria, and best practices across engineering work.
  • Coordinate design and construction efforts with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering QA/QC protocols and Delek's Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure alignment with technical, quality, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Oversee engineering and third-party contractors within assigned projects.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, balancing competing priorities and timelines.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Support project commissioning, troubleshoot issues during startup, and ensure completion of punch lists and close-out tasks.
  • Document and communicate lessons learned to foster organizational improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships with consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
