The project:

We are currently working with a major global financial services client who are concurrently re-developing a number of property locations across the USA. This is a rolling program of work that will last a number of years. We are looking to bolster our project and program management team across the USA in order to be able to provide more local project support to suit the needs of the client. Responsible for supporting the projects to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality requirements. Coordinates with all relevant parties to understand and deliver project objectives set out in the project plans. Conducts research, analysis, record-keeping and other supporting activities to ensure timely and accurate information to contribute to delivery of project management operations. Develops direct and/or indirect management of external parties (consultants and contractors) coordinating others, in order to achieve project key performance indicators (KPIs). Manages small parts of projects independently, but with oversight from a PM/SPM.

  • Attends and records relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.

  • Partners with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management and mitigation treatments.

  • Assists in tracking project changes and ensuring they are processed and formalised within the agreed timeframes.

  • Assists in providing handover documentation prior to practical completion.

  • Understands the businesses priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data and responsible business.

  • Collects information or undertake research as required.

  • Updates and manages existing project plans, processes and procedures to contribute to the successful delivery of projects under direction.

  • Actively seeks understanding and utilises the Centre of Excellence (CoE) knowledge base, The Mace Way Control Centre, the Knowledge Hub and Company best practice sign posting.

  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have:

  • Preferably with an educational background in project management, engineering, or design.

  • Developing knowledge and experience in project management, manages small sized projects/elements of larger projects.

  • Developing knowledge of construction and industry and understanding of programme, scheduling, procurement and reporting.Developing budgetary oversight expertise and knowledge.

  • Developing understanding of project management methodologies and practices.

  • Developing communication, presentation and project planning and development skills (using appropriate tools).

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Seeks opportunities for learning and implementing improved working practices and service differentiation.

  • Developing knowledge and appreciation in specific sector/market of project/role.

  • Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.

  • Appreciation of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) rules and specific sector/market regulations relevant to project portfolio.

  • Developing knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors/markets.

  • Appreciation of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls and reporting.

  • Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.

  • Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (or local equivalent)

You'll also have:

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, ASCE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

  • Experience in project management, ideally in a property or infrastructure sector.

  • A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations.

  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.

  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Note: The estimated salary for this position is $80,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
