HX5 is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Holloman Air Force Base in Support of Air Force Testing for the 846th Test Squadron.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate boom cranes at various outdoor locations where maneuverability is restricted and accuracy is critical.
• Use and understand hand signals.
• Transport and lift munitions and munitions residue.
• Select and assemble rigging equipment for crane lift operations.
• Operate equipment such as graders, scrapers, backhoe, tractors, front-end loaders, water distributors, man lifts, and dump trucks.
• Operate and assist with the movement and placement of concrete wafers up to 180 tons using a gantry crane.
• Perform daily checks and operator maintenance on engineering equipment.
• Move and excavate earth to prescribed grades or depths with the assistance of survey technicians.
• Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Operate general purpose vehicles, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Maintain equipment, document inspections, and manage forms.
• Ability to work within specific procedures and processes of the 846 Test Squadron and DoD regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings.
• Ability to handle, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lifts and moves heavier items with assistance.
• Ability to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
• Exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 846TS as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing duties.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

Required Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 6 years or relevant experience.
• Must possess crane operator certification for hydraulic boom swing cab crane.
• Must possess a valid drivers license with Class A endorsement.
• Must have experience operating earthmoving equipment.
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start date.
• Must be able to travel, including air travel.
