The Weyerhaeuser Lumber Mill in Holden, LA has immediate openings for experienced Maintenance Millwrights.

The pay rate for these seasoned maintenance professionals ranges from $33.39 to $37.50 per hour.

The Holden Lumber facility, part of Weyerhaeuser's Southern Lumber mill set, consists of log yard, sawmill, dry kilns, planer, and shipping operations. The Maintenance Millwright is a key member of the maintenance team that supports the facility.

Overview of Role:

• Performs highly skilled mechanical maintenance tasks including installation.

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment. This may include, but not limited to, such equipment as motors, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems.

• In downtime situations, applicants must be able to analyze the cause of breakdown with equipment.

• The ability to determine and carry out maintenance of repair actions required to return the equipment to effective operating conditions.

• Skilled in lubricating and cleaning parts, perform maintenance planning, layout work and welding as required.

• Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment.

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a group.

• Able to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Must be at least age 18

• High school diploma/GED is required

• Must be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments

• Resume detailing education and work history

• Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems

• Excellent skills in root cause analysis

• Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance

• Steady, documented work history

• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Good communication skills

• Must be team oriented

• Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays

• Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment

Education / Experience:

• Must be at least age 18
• High school diploma/GED is required
• Must have at least 5 years' industrial mechanical maintenance/millwright experience OR equivalent combination of related education and/or maintenance/millwright experience OR 3 years' experience in a lumber manufacturing environment as a mechanical maintenance/millwright
• Expected experience/skills:
• Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and conveyor systems.
• Replace and install bearings, chains, and other mechanical components.
• Conduct chain replacements and ensure proper chain alignment for smooth operation.
• Execute precision alignment of vertical and horizontal rollers to maintain conveyor and processing line efficiency.
• Adjust and maintain conveyor belt tension, replace worn belts, and ensure proper tracking.
• Tension and replace drive chains to optimize power transmission.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of SAP/S4 preferred.
• Document maintenance activities and report malfunctions or equipment issues via SAP/S4 and/or email.
• Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical maintenance role, preferably in a lumber or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of bearing replacements, chain, and conveyor system maintenance.
• Skilled in chain alignment, belt tensioning, and drive system adjustments.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
• Ability to perform precision alignment of rollers and other machinery components.
• Mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to lift heavy components and work in confined spaces.
• Welding/torch work
