Primary objective

  • To provide Electrical Engineering support and contribute to a variety of clients projects within the minerals and fertilizer processing industry.

  • To manage the provision of services so that they meet project scope, schedule and budget requirements and meet or exceed the expectations of the client.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Prepare electrical and instrumentation design and calculations in accordance with the relevant project requirements. In particular\:

    • Electrical design criteria and specifications
    • Process unit load list and calculations
    • Transformer sizing
    • Single line diagrams

  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and estimation of man-hour budgets.
  • Manage projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Supervise and provide assistance to drafting staff.
  • Preparation of Scope of Work Documentation.
  • Provide construction technical support for clients as required.
  • Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the relevant Quality Assurance system.
  • Safety Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Business Unit. Understand and follow safety procedures

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Degree in electrical engineering

  • 4 years plus experience trade experience will be well considered.

  • Leadership and reporting experience.

  • Excellent communication/people skills.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
