Summary:
Performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems in new or remodeled facilities. Performs rough and finished electrical installation. Maintain power generation equipment and fixtures at old and new hospital. Ensure that work is produced in accordance with relevant and applicable compliance codes.

Implements and facilitates the Energy Management Systems (EMS) and HVAC controls and Indoor Air Quality.
Adjusts computer-based EMS program for proper HVAC comfort and energy management control.
Monitors and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system as well as hands-on work.
Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Initiates plans for the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and regulatory codes.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses any malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using appropriate hand power tools.
Monitors and orders electrical supplies, keeping vital components in stock.
Services light fixtures, booster fan controls, ballasts, batteries or battery backups and emergency receptacles; including ball rail receptacles, IFS communications and other electrical systems that require service.
Participates in facility safety drills & building walk-through inspections.
Attends various safety trainings.
Completes all work orders in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Certification/Licensure:
Valid Alaska Drivers License that meets ASNA insurance criteria within ninety (90) days of hire.
Clean Driving Record for three (3) years
State of Alaska Electrical License
Current and valid State of Alaska Certificate of Fitness
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
State of Alaska Electrical License
Minimum 6 years of commercial building maintenance and electrical work experience required.
Experience with the operation and maintenance of Building Automation Systems.
Ability to test for and pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Ability to test for and pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program requirements.
Basic First Aid/CPR training.
Training in building maintenance, building automation systems, HVAC, power and generation systems.
