- Meet with existing and potential customers for project pre-planning purposes.
- Oversee the estimation of work to be performed according to company guidelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess project work for estimation purposes.
- Prepare project schedules to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage each job to ensure quality workmanship, meet schedule dates, adhere to company policies, and track costs and changes.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders, accounts payable, and billing information to the appropriate departments.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Manage personnel assigned to projects, ensuring adherence to hiring procedures and proper training.
- Review employee performance to enhance their ability to perform required duties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop program and project budgets, work plans, labor utilization, and cost projections.
- Effectively manage each job to achieve budgeted targets.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, maintain quality standards, ensure job safety, decrease turnaround times, and streamline processes.
- 5-10+ years of related industrial electrical experience.
- Experience working on construction projects valued from $100k to $10 million.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to plan and organize personnel, equipment, and materials for managing multiple projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical proficiency in the field of expertise.
- PC and laptop computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Extensive leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to shift priorities based on changing schedules, client priorities, and weather conditions.
- Experience in electrical industrial construction and electrical pharma construction.
- Team oversight abilities.
- Industrial and/or commercial construction experience.
This position requires on-site work in a dynamic and growing company engaged in notable projects throughout the Triangle area.
