What you’ll do as a Technical Project Manager

  • End-to-End Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of data center construction projects, including white space build-outs, fiber optic network installations, and cabinet rack and stack deployments.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, construction contractors, vendors, and clients, to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on all aspects of data center infrastructure, including power and cooling, structured cabling, network hardware installation, and physical security.

  • Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.

  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all work complies with industry best practices and company standards.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, providing regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of direct project management experience in data center construction and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Specific Expertise:

    • Data Center Construction: Proven experience managing large-scale data center build-outs.

    • White Space Build: Demonstrable experience in the planning and execution of data center white space, including power distribution, cooling, and cable containment.

    • Fiber Build: In-depth knowledge of fiber optic cabling infrastructure design and installation.

    • Cabinet Rack & Stack: Hands-on experience with the physical installation and cabling of server cabinets and network equipment.

  • General Telecom Infrastructure: A strong understanding of general telecommunications infrastructure principles and practices.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

    • The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP, RCDD, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Salary Range $115,00 - $130,000
