Summary:

The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for advancing the organization's safety culture through strategic leadership, enterprise-wide communication, training and development, and continuous improvement. This position supports the enterprise by leading corporate-level safety initiatives, managing knowledge-sharing platforms, supporting operational excellence, and facilitating external outreach and benchmarking efforts.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a corporate-wide safety communication and awareness strategy aligned with organizational values and goals.
  • Coordinate messaging for communications, campaigns, toolkits, and internal media.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate enterprise-level safety training and competency programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and ensure alignment with regulatory and company-specific requirements.
  • Administer and maintain knowledge share platforms (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide support for technological innovation projects aimed at improving safety conditions and integrating emerging technologies.
  • Plan and conduct on-site health and safety reviews to verify the adequacy and effectiveness of prevention and protection measures for employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date libraries of procedures, guidance documents, and tools.
  • Support incident investigation reviews by facilitating cross-functional input and evaluating root cause quality.
  • Coordinate corporate-level review of serious or high-potential events and provide feedback to investigation teams.
  • Identify systemic trends and communicate organizational learnings to prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as liaison with external industry groups, associations, and peer contractors to benchmark safety practices.
  • Monitor and report on emerging trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in the safety field.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of corporate safety performance metrics and leading indicators.
  • Provide expert input during Prequalification and Bidding phases, helping to identify appropriate work methods and prevention measures for proposals.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading and managing health and safety responsibilities within construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • CSP, CHST or equivalent professional certification is preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA and relevant safety standards
  • Able and willing to travel
