- Design custom dies, fixtures, jigs, tools, etc. as needed, and provide models/drawings for fabrication
- Provide feedback to Tooling Design and Casting Engineers to achieve the right balance between tooling performance and manufacturability from a tooling perspective
- Evaluate failures and provide technical solutions to improve quality and / or OEE in the specified area
- Capture feedback from Casting Process Engineers into new and replacement dies
- Innovate new ideas to push the envelope of performance (cycle time, yield, uptime) and minimize risk
- Design and implement die designs and modifications to continuously improve die performance
- Assist in the development of tooling design and fabrication schedules, then execute accordingly
- Provide technical oversight of tooling suppliers
