Position Title: Associate Project Manager

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary: The Associate Project Manager plays a key supporting role in ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution of custom trailer, display, and vehicle projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and with cross-functional teams to assist with planning, execution, and monitoring of project deliverables. A strong focus is placed on inventory management, tracking materials and components to support production schedules and continuous improvement efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple client projects from initiation through completion.
  • Work with Engineering and Project Managers to compile Bill of Materials (BOM's) and create purchase requisitions within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Monitor and manage project inventory levels to ensure availability of materials and components throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material deliveries and accurate inventory records.
  • Assist Project Managers with monitoring project tasks and production.
  • Maintain project documentation, including material tracking logs, change orders, and status reports.
  • Assist in managing budgets and ensuring alignment with cost expectations, particularly regarding material usage and waste reduction.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, reviews, and post-project evaluations to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with quality control and operations teams to ensure that finished products meet customer and internal standards.
  • Identify risks related to inventory shortages or delays and escalate appropriately.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; alternatively, 3+ years of experience in project coordination or support role within construction, fabrication/manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory control principles and ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills across departments and levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • CAPM Certification.
  • Lead or supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using systems like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking in office, warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to climb in and out of trailers, scaffolding and up ladders.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and position self to move about the office, as needed.
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
