We are looking for an Electrical Systems and Controls Development Engineer to join our Pittsburgh, PA (Cheswick) operations. Your Responsibilities: Develop and create models, designs and simulations of electrical motors, generators, exciters and controls utilizing a variety of engineering tools. Role will also develop and design information for use in reports, specifications and drawings. Direct support personnel in product design, analysis, fabrication, and testing. Must be comfortable creating simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape or other Electrical Specialized Power System programs. Work will include vector control and tuning for induction motors and drives. Create models and drawings, generate and contribute to technical reports, specification requirements, and perform trade studies and design reviews. Must be able to coordinate and work on multiple project responsibilities simultaneously. Direct the development and analysis of electric motors, generators, and exciters. Create simulation of systems employing hardware in loop (HIL) and/or rapid control prototyping (RCP) for model-based design process and real-time development and testing. Be comfortable leading engineering teams through moderately complex technical issues. While actively supporting the development of plans for new designs and redesign efforts. With minimal guidance, should have initiative to plan, coordinate, and executes, a variety of engineering activities that may include documenting, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations. Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite. What you Bring: Engineering Bachelor's degree is required with advanced degrees being highly desired.
