Maintenance Supervisor**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all equipment repair, maintenance, and installation activities within our production facility. This role is essential in ensuring safe, cost-effective, and productive operations, leading and developing a high-performing team of maintenance technicians.
**Responsibilities**
+ Promote and maintain a positive and proactive safety culture, ensuring a safe and healthful work environment.
+ Ensure full compliance with all applicable company and regulatory environmental, health, and safety requirements.
+ Train maintenance technicians in safety policies and procedures and hold them accountable for working safely.
+ Support and promote food safety and quality policies, procedures, and initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and internal requirements.
+ Actively participate in audits and address corrective actions promptly.
+ Coordinate the planning and scheduling of maintenance work, including weekly schedules for maintenance technicians.
+ Guide, support, assist, and train technicians in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
+ Execute reliability improvement initiatives and develop preventive maintenance programs.
+ Supervise the maintenance team on assigned shifts, manage performance, development, and training.
+ Assess skills of the maintenance crew, develop training programs, and ensure annual compliance.
+ Assist with coordination of maintenance and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards, goals, and budgets.
+ Schedule, coordinate, and oversee outside contractors for equipment repair or installation.
+ Monitor production equipment operations and identify areas requiring repairs and modifications.
+ Stay updated with developments and advancements in machinery within the food industry.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems promptly and train others in troubleshooting.
+ Complete administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives.
**Essential Skills**
+ Bachelors degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
+ At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food processing, and 3 years in a supervisory role.
+ Sound knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, conveyor, PLC, ammonia refrigeration, and water treatment systems.
+ Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
+ Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.
+ Ability to manage in a quality-oriented, multi-craft, team environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a supervisory role within the food processing industry.
+ Strong knowledge of safety and food safety regulations.
