Job Description

We are actively seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer to join our expanding Civil Engineering team. The selected individual will play a vital role in managing a variety of large-scale civil engineering and water resources projects. These projects include the design and permitting of stormwater, sanitary, and potable water piping, as well as lift and pump stations, roadways, drainage systems, and parking facilities. Our projects primarily support municipalities and state agencies, offering the opportunity to impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities positively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large civil infrastructure projects involving stormwater piping, sanitary piping, potable water piping, lift stations, pump stations, roadways, drainage, and parking.
  • Lead a project team in the design, engineering, permitting, and modeling of water resource and civil infrastructure projects for state and local municipalities.
  • Perform complex engineering analyses and design calculations.
  • Prepare design drawings, construction specifications, cost estimates, construction bid packages, technical memoranda, and reports.
  • Support and direct hydraulic and hydrology modeling, data collection, data assimilation, and presentations.
  • Sign and seal drawings as the engineer of record.
  • Conduct or assist with slope stability analysis and structural design/analysis.
  • Communicate with clients, generate new business opportunities, manage subconsultants, and oversee staff.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering consulting, including engineering, design, and permitting for municipal and state agency clients.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, StormCad, Bluebeam, HEC-RAS, SWMM, ICPR, GeoSlope/Seep, L-Pile, MS Suite, and Adobe.
  • Experience as an Engineer of Record on various infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of environmental planning, permitting, and regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Slope/W, Seep/W, or similar software is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
  • Leadership and business development talents are advantageous.
Work Environment

This position can be fully remote, preferably near Tampa or West Palm Beach, though experienced candidates may work from anywhere in Florida. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on impactful projects that support the Central and Southern Florida flood control system. The company has a strong presence across Florida, with offices in Tampa, Tallahassee, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, serving multiple state agencies and private clients. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
