We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedCivilEngineer to lead the design and execution of a new office space in Honolulu, HI, capable of accommodating up to 50 people. This project will require expertise in local building codes, sustainable practices, and efficient project management. It's crucial for the successful candidate to have a thorough understanding of best practices in project stability, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations throughout all project phases.

**Key Responsibilities**

Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive site plans, design the structural elements of the space, oversee the preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis to inform project decisions.

- Execution and Management: Mange the bidding process and selection of contractors and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans. In addition, monitor project budget and schedule and communicate with stakeholders regarding project progress.

- Compliance and Approvals: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable building practices by conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks. Secure necessary permits and approvals in a timely manner and manage ongoing communication with regulatory agencies.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records and documentation, prepare regular progress reports, conduct post-construction inspections, and prepare final project reports.

**Required Minimum Qualifications**

- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Honolulu, HI

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software

- Familiarity with Hawaiian geology, terrain, and climate conditions

**Required Education, Certifications, and Length of Experience**

- Bachelors degree in civil engineering, with a focus on building design and construction

- Professional Engineer (PE) License

- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering with a proven history of managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity

**Travel Requirements**

Travel up to 25% is required.

**U.S. Citizenship Requirements**

Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.

**Clearance Type Required**

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, existing active TS clearance with SCI eligibility highly preferred.
