POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of receivers, including loader/unloaders and receiving and replenishment to ensure that customer service requirements are met, and orders are received, sorted, put away and stored in accordance with established procedures and processes while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage productivity of all inventory/receiving employees.

Verify all ISO processes and work instructions are current and being followed.

Promotes personal accountability by identifying goals, setting expectations, and providing on-going feedback on associate performance with formal evaluation provided regularly.

Promotes a quality culture by demonstrating customer focus.

Perform time study audits on functional activities and update goals accordingly.

Coordinates and leverages resources with other managers, such as maintenance, materials, scheduling, logistics and engineering, to resolve manufacturing problems and/or improve processes.

Takes ownership of employee training and development by ensuring that appropriate and required training is completed for direct reports.

Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information for all inventory, transfers, and returns.

Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.

Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.

Verify and keep records on incoming/outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, arranging for transportation of products.

Sort cargo before loading and unloading.

Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.

Inventory control and bin replenishment.

Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.

Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, the Inventory & Receiving Supervisor must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED

4+ years of receiving/inventory supervisory experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment, with ability to work in a team environment.

Must be proficient in MS Office and general ERP systems and have strong data entry, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail.

A physical requirement to lift up to 75lbs.

Ability to run required metrics, including:

o Open orders due report

o Housekeeping Audits

o SO Audits

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

General problem solving/analysis capabilities.

Ability/certification to operate a forklift, reach truck, order picker.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear,

frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
