We are currently looking for a Contracts Analyst to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. This is an entry-level position focused on managing and overseeing contracts for the department. Ensures contracts are consistent with management's goals, policies, and procedures. Handles the acquisition, distribution, and store of purchases. Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract. Generates, maintains, and audits a central contract-resource file. Ensures that necessary procedural controls exist. This role involves specific responsibilities related to defense contracts and requires understanding federal regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). This role provides a foundation for understanding the complexities of government contracting, offering opportunities for growth and advancement within the DoD contracting field.
What You Will Be Doing
Contract Document Preparation and Review
Assist in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring compliance of contract documents with DoD regulations and standards.
Compliance Monitoring
Perform initial compliance checks to ensure contracts adhere to FAR, DFARS, and other applicable legal requirements, highlighting issues for further review.
Record Keeping and Documentation
Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all contract documents, modifications, and correspondence related to DoD contracts.
Data Entry and Management
Input and update contract information in government contract management systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Communication and Negotiation Support
Facilitate clear, timely communication between internal teams, contractors, and government representatives. Represent the Contracts Department in customer-facing interactions, supporting negotiations, issue resolution, and the distribution of contract-related information to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
Cost and Pricing Support
Apply cost analysis and price analysis techniques to assess internal pricing structures, review company submissions, and identify cost drivers that support accurate, competitive, and defensible proposals.
Tracking Contract Milestones
Monitor key contract milestones, such as deliverables, deadlines, and performance metrics, and notify relevant parties of upcoming dates and requirements.
Supporting Contract Modifications
Assist in drafting and processing contract modifications, amendments, and extensions as directed by senior contract administrators.
Basic Contract Analysis
Conduct initial analyses of contract terms and conditions, summarizing key points for senior staff review.
Assisting with Issue Resolution
Help identify and report potential issues or discrepancies in contract performance, escalating them to senior administrators for resolution.
Professional Development and Training
Participate in training sessions to gain a deeper understanding of DoD contracting procedures, regulations, and systems.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management Business Administration, Economics, or business related field
- Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification preferred
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in contracts, regulatory, or a related analytical role
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Prefer working knowledge of subject matter
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret contractual documents, financial reports and technical documents
- Proficiency in common office applications Microsoft Office, Adobe or similar products
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in project coordination and executive assistance or similar role
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work across teams with a variety of projects
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

- The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile
