Regional Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Purchasing Manager to join our team in our Rivervale office in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and contract management strategies for regionally sourced goods and services. This role focuses on minimising total cost of ownership, improving service quality, and enhancing supplier performance.

The Regional Purchasing Manager will work closely with operational and technical stakeholders in the Western Region of our business (WA & SA) to ensure that sourcing solutions meet local operational needs while delivering long-term cost reduction, risk minimisation, and standardisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional procurement strategies for the Western Region
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities for regionally sourced goods and services
  • Initiate, develop, and negotiate supplier agreements
  • Analyse market trends and develop category knowledge
  • Manage strategic procurement projects with a cross-functional impact
  • Oversee supplier performance, quality, customer support, and price management
  • Build new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources and solutions
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with national and global procurement strategies and agreements
  • Provide guidance and assistance on procurement matters to operations

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Procurement or Operations in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, market benchmarking, and decision-making.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, drive process change, and overcome resistance in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
  • Willingness to travel within Western Australia.
  • University degree in engineering or business administration (preferred)
  • CIPSA student or full membership is preferred.
