Job Title: Service Estimator - Telecommunications

Position Summary:

The Service Estimator - Telecommunications is responsible for preparing accurate and timely service cost estimates for telecommunications projects. This includes analyzing customer requirements, developing scope of work, obtaining GC quotes, calculating labor and material costs, and ensuring alignment with company capabilities and profitability goals. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer specifications, RFPs, and design documents to determine project scope and service requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate bids from multiple general contractors to support proposal development; select the most competitive option and negotiate pricing to enhance proposal competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams to define and refine service proposals.
• Prepare detailed service estimates, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate historical data and industry benchmarks to improve estimate accuracy and competitiveness.
• Maintain a library of standard service components and pricing models for reuse and consistency.
• Support sales and bid teams during proposal development, including clarifications and negotiations.
• Update and track estimation progress in relevant project management or CRM tools.
• Identify potential risks, resource constraints, or deviations from standard practices during the estimation process.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as an estimator or similar role in the telecommunications or related industry.
• Knowledge of wireless and wired telecom infrastructure, equipment, and service delivery models.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and estimation tools; experience with ERP or quoting software a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present estimates and support bid processes.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in service estimation, telecom project coordination, or a technical pre-sales role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microwave Telecommunications or Radio Access Network (RAN) deployment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
