**We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Civil Superintendent with federal highways experience.**
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and contractual obligations.

**What does the position do?**
+ Plans and directs all construction activities on the project.
+ Supervises and mentors all field staff and provides constructive feedback.
+ Coordinates all labor, materials, and equipment for the project.
+ Creates "three week" look ahead schedules and reviews them project manager, subcontractors and clients.
+ Reads and understands construction plans and scope of work thoroughly to prepare action plans.
+ Partners with project manager to track project schedule and budgets.
+ establishes a safe work environment, facilitates safety meetings, updates safety logs, and documents safety concerns.
+ Maintains clear communication channel with clients and resolves problems as they arise.
+ Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
+ Implement safety and quality guidelines.
+ Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
+ Communicate with clients and internal team on project progress
+ Produces daily reports and submits them in a timely manner
**What will top candidates bring to the table?**
+ 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.
+ Ability to manage projects, resources and teams.
+ Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
+ Understands construction drawings, plans and specifications.
+ Understanding of project scheduling software
