About the Role:
A highly respected general contractor in the greater Miami-Fort-Lauderdale, FL metro area is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their growing team. This leadership role is responsible for managing all phases of commercial construction projects from initial planning through final closeout. This is a full-time opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial projects in one of South Florida’s most dynamic construction markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
Lead and coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Maintain control of project budgets, schedules, and documentation
Oversee subcontractor negotiations, buyout, and contract execution
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with local and federal regulations
Facilitate communication with architects, engineers, and the owner’s representatives
Manage RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and procurement processes
Conduct project meetings and provide consistent progress reporting
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience (General Contractor experience strongly preferred)
Proven ability to manage projects ranging from $5M to $50M+
Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, and budgeting
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but other applicants with seasoned experience in the field will also be considered
Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus!
