Building Inspector - (Field-South) 20061676

• Performs field inspections using approved architectural drawings of buildings & structures under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Construction Compliance to ensure compliance with state building codes & statutes.
• Conducts, as needed, inspections of existing buildings & structures for safety to determine if Certificates of Occupancy may be issued.
• Complete assigned inspections daily in a multi county territory.
• Inspect general building construction and mechanical systems.
• Work local and State authorities.

This position will service Ross, Scioto, Adams, Highland, Pickaway, Pike, and Clinton Counties. You must live in one of these counties or an adjacent county to be considered.

Certification as a Building Inspector through the Ohio Board of Building Standards; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in the use of computers, wireless technology & software such as Outlook, Adobe, Word; valid driver's license. Please note: an agility assessment will be conducted to ensure capability to endure hazardous elements of this position
