Site Foreman (3Month Contract)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Site Foreman to lead our excavation and underground utility teams on a 3month contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4 years of handson site work and excavation experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in reading construction drawings. You will oversee daily field operations, ensure quality and safety compliance, and coordinate resources to meet project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a crew of equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors; assign tasks and monitor performance.

Project Coordination: Schedule and coordinate daily site activities, including excavation, trenching, bedding, and backfilling for water lines, storm drains, sanitary sewers, and related utilities.

Plan Interpretation: Read, interpret, and enforce adherence to construction drawings, grading plans, and utility diagrams to maintain proper elevations and alignments.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies; conduct toolbox talks, daily safety inspections, and ensure trench/shoring safety.

Quality Control: Inspect work in progress for compliance with plans and specifications; identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Resource Management: Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower; communicate material needs and equipment maintenance issues to project management.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and clients; provide daily progress updates.

Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, timesheets, equipment checklists, and incident reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 4 years in site work and excavation, with a proven track record supervising field crews.

Utility Expertise: Handson experience installing and managing underground utilities (water mains, storm drains, sanitary sewers, etc.).

Blueprint Literacy: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, profiles, and utility diagrams.

Leadership: Strong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills; ability to lead diverse crews.

Safety Focus: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

CDL Class A Driver's License

OSHA 30Hour Construction Safety Certification
