Electrician 2**
**Job Description**
As an Electrician 2, you will assist and, when possible, work solo on the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the plant. This includes working with motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches, cables, conduits, and various communication, recording, and alarm systems under the guidance of a Level 1 Electrician. You will use various types of testing equipment to locate and correct malfunctions, work on energized circuits when required under NFPA Safety Guidelines, and make functional tests to ensure that electricity-powered or electrically controlled machines or equipment operate properly after installation or repair. You will also determine horsepower requirements, line loads, material needs, and plan the layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Additionally, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on all electrical utilities and equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist and occasionally work solo on the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems.

**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience, including education.
+ Valid License
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Forklift or Aerial Lift certifications are preferred.
