Job Description
- Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for multiple K-12 school construction projects.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring alignment with educational goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead multimillion-dollar project teams including project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors through all phases of construction.
- Oversee preconstruction planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Foster long-term client relationships and pursue new business opportunities in the education sector.
- Mentor and develop internal project leadership talent.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in an executive or leadership role.
- Proven track record managing complex $50+ million projects from preconstruction through closeout, particularly in K-12 education projects.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Deep knowledge of construction delivery methods including CM-at-Risk and Design-Bid-Build.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience or interest in sustainable school design.
- Familiarity with Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. public school systems and procurement processes.
- Passion for educational environments and community impact.
This position requires 100% in-office presence with travel to project sites.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $230000.00/yr.medical, health, dental, gas card, 4 weeks pto, company vehicle Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Rockville,MD.
