Job Title: Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to manage cost estimating at all stages of a project life-cycle, from feasibility and concept through the various design stages to pre-bid, with detailed estimates including labor, material, and equipment breakdowns. This role involves change order management, bid analysis, and life-cycle cost analysis, requiring deep knowledge of architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cost estimating at all stages of project life-cycle.
- Manage change orders effectively.
- Perform bid analysis.
- Compile detailed estimates with labor, material, and equipment breakdowns.
- Complete monthly payment applications from general contractors.
- Conduct life-cycle cost analysis and other economic studies.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a construction-related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of cost management or related experience on large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel for estimating and construction management.
- Deep knowledge of architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Quantity Takeoffs.
- Renovation and/or ground-up estimating experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Work Environment
Join a growing team in Atlanta or work remotely if located in North Carolina, South Carolina, DC, Tampa Florida, or NJ. The company is a construction cost and project management consulting firm led by industry veterans, overseeing 400 projects a year, with a strong focus on federal projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
