UG Service Skilled Laborer B

Job Description: Responsible for assisting crewwith tasks as required to perform underground service installation and repairprojects i.e. hand digging, gathering and assembling material required tocomplete tasks at multiple locations, install or repair conduits, cables,pedestals, handholes, and digging equipment operation. Not qualified for unsupervised energizedwork.

Minimum Requirements: 1 year minimum undergroundelectric distribution service work experience required. Must be familiar withunderground utility construction i.e. trenching, shoring, pipe laying, andcable pulling. Requires basic skills in math. Must be able to fluently read, write, speak and comprehend English. Must follow all safe work practices. If notcertified, will be required to attend certification courses. May be required to work weekends, eveningsand holidays. All employeesare required to have a valid Driver License in good standing throughouttheir employment.

PreferredRequirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. State wide travel preferable. CDL preferred.

PhysicalRequirements: Must be able to stand for longperiods of time on varied surfaces. Must be able to move freely, includingability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist. Must be able to liftup to 75 pounds unassisted. May be required to work long andunpredictable hours and working outdoors in all types ofweather.
