Volt is hiring a Project Engineer in East Chicago, Indiana with an industry leader in the refining industry. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for: Developing solutions to engineering problems that require ingenuity and creativity. Analyzes project scope and determines engineering requirements, develops economic and feasibility studies, and performs engineering designs following applicable specifications and procedures. Supports the Above Ground Storage Tank Inspection Program (ASTIP) and the Integrity Management (IM) program as required. Provides technical assistance to operational personnel. Participates in and helps direct and coordinate team or task force efforts toward solving project development and design problems. The Ideal Candidate will have: College Degree (BS in Engineering) plus 4 years of job-related experience Good written and oral communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Scheduling. Design experience (e.g., hydraulic, pipe stress, pump design) Intermediate level familiarity with industry standards and specifications related to project work (design, construction, and operation) preferred. Understanding and application of 49 CFR 195 and 192 preferred. API 653 Certification preferred. Experience with SAP preferred. This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
