Position summary

AGT is seeking a detail-oriented entry level Solar Drafter with at least 2 years of experience in AutoCAD design. The ideal candidate will thrive with minimal supervision, performs advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standard document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. The Solar Drafter will be involved in the preparation of CAD drawings under the supervision of the solar engineer.

Key Responsibilities

File all documentation related to all relevant project documents

Keep all project templates and general library updated

Clean out drawing layouts for coordination with other trades

Update the title block, index drawings, general notes, symbols and legend according to the projects phases

Meet with the engineer to determine project requirements

Create electrical diagrams with technical specifications

Generate PV Module layouts, string layouts, equipment layouts grounding plans, warning labels and other drawings

Generate and modify existing project installation details

Prepare photometric plans to company's layout as per vendor's information

Draw basic electrical room layouts

Prepare data monitoring layouts using vendors information

Create and update datasheets

Create and update reports as needed

Create PDF's and print hard copies of set drawings

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

Associate degree in an Engineering related field (Preferred)

Experience

2 years of AutoCAD experience

Skills & Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age

Successful Pre-Employment Drug

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Electrical Design

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and ADOBE

Basic knowledge and understanding of building codes

Bilingual in English & Spanish (Preferred)

Excellent mathematical skills

Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Flexible to work overtime as needed depending on the company's needs

High caliber of work required

Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements

Full time onsite
