Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Grant Administration System Modernization

Job Type: Contract- Long Term

Location: Hybrid- Madison, WI

Pay Rate: $45+/ hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact initiative focused on modernizing and centralizing grant administration systems and processes. This role will oversee the planning and analysis phases of a large-scale project, working closely with a multidisciplinary contractor team and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage complex, enterprise-level projects from initiation through completion.

Coordinate the work of a contractor team including a Business Analyst and Systems Architect.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts.

Oversee the gathering of system, business, and technical requirements.

Guide the feasibility study and future-state system architecture design.

Develop cost estimates for system development, procurement, and maintenance.

Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk logs.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience managing large, complex projects.

Proven expertise in project management methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple business areas.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Change Management.

Experience with grant management systems or enterprise software implementation.

Familiarity with financial management systems and their integration with grant software.

Background in working with government agencies, especially in regulatory or compliance environments.

Team Structure:

You will report to the Director of Grants Management and collaborate with a contractor team supported by a part-time Project Manager from the internal PMO.
