Maintenance Mechanic

GFL Environmental is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for Western Canada's largest and newest Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Edmonton, AB!

The Maintenance Mechanic will receive on-the-job training on performing inspections and preventative maintenance. Youll be performing a variety of diagnostics and repairs on industrial equipment. This equipment can range from electronics, conveyers, and compactors that provide support and service to our processing facilities operations.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma or GED
Valid Drivers License

Mechanically inclined individual.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures.

Preform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on conveyors, electronics, and electronic motors.
Use various computer systems to record and document repairs and diagnose problems.

Inspections on stationary equipment. (Greasing, oil changes, minor repairs)

Repair and part sourcing.
Minor welding/fabrication of equipment.
