We're looking for a motivated Production Planner / Purchasing Agent to support our production operations and keep projects moving smoothly from raw material to finished product.What Youll DoProduction Planning Plan daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and shop capacity. Adjust production schedules to reflect material availability, labor constraints, or rush jobs. Coordinate with customer service, engineering and shop leads to ensure effective job sequencing and workflow. Communicate timelines to sales, customer service, and shipping teams.Purchasing Purchase raw materials (wood, board stock, hardware, etc.) and manage supplier relationships. Maintain optimal inventory levelspreventing stockouts and excess. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery. Enter and track purchase orders and resolve vendor issues as needed.What Youll Bring 3+ years of experience in materials management, production planning or purchasing in a make-to-order manufacturing environment. Familiarity with BOMs and manufacturing routings. Ability to interpret production drawings and work orders. Experience with ERP systems (Insight, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Strong Excel skills; SQL/database familiarity is a plus. Great communication and organization skills.Nice to Have Experience in cabinet, woodworking, or furniture manufacturing. Experience working with vendors for custom or made-to-order components.
