Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Piper Companies is searching for an experienced Facilities Technician (Ammonia Refrigeration) to join a state of the art manufacturing facility in Wilson, NC and organization utilizing advanced biotechnology to cultivate sustainable, high-quality food products. The Facilities Technician (Ammonia Refrigeration) will support the operation & maintenance of systems and equipment at the manufacturing facility. This is a full-time opportunity in Wilson, NC.

Responsibilities of the Facilities Technician (Ammonia Refrigeration):

• Performs equipment and process inspections to assist with plant build out & preventative maintenance schedule
• Manages the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems & performs inspections to prevent leaks & ensure system functionality
• Assists with building repairs as needed, including electrical and structural components
• Implements quality work and takes initiative to develop expertise in the facility systems

Qualifications of the Facilities Technician (Ammonia Refrigeration):

• Direct experience with facilities maintenance in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environments
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration (NH3) systems and/or RETA certifications
• Entry or intermediate experience in HVAC systems, no certification required

Compensation of the Facilities Technician (Ammonia Refrigeration):

• $30/hr - $40/hr depending on industry experience & ammonia experience/certifications
