SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of Senior Project Manager or Vice President of Project Management or Director of Project Management.
Project Managers follow the five pillars of successful project management which are Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring & Control, Project Closing set by VP of Project Management, executing on a plan of their own making for their assigned projects from concept through construction
All Projects Managers are responsible for the project management of assigned projects, inclusive but not limited to:
Client management
Kickoff
Maintaining project schedule and budget (estimate)
Communicate schedule to client from pre-construction to close out
Manage RFI process- issue, manage and ensure RFI process is followed
Responsible for data correctness in HubSpot, NetSuite and Procore (with APMs) including:
Up-to-date information
Weekly correspondence both externally and internally saved in appropriate locations
Shop drawings
Submittals
Vendor / subcontractor management: support SCPM team as needed through buyout / fabrication pipeline to ensure buyout proceeds in accordance with the project schedule
Project deployment: develop and maintain the schedule for assigned projects
Project fiscal management: accountable for assigned projects being delivered within budget and ensure risks are escalated to appropriate levels
Ensure billing levels are in line with each project's level of work in place
Change order management: identify areas outside scope of work, communicate with team leader and estimating, communicate with the client to ensure clarity once submitted
Closeout: support client, APM, Contract Administration by ensuring all closed out items are received, completed, and submitted timely
Management of APM: Responsible for training and mentoring APM through all aspects of the process
SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, Hubspot, Netsuite & ProCore
- Advanced skills in reviewing architectural drawings and engineering release documents for design and budgetary conformance
- Must have intermediate/advanced knowledge of glass and hardware pricing and knowledge of change order generation
- Must have advanced industry knowledge of construction sequencing specific to framing, finished construction and end-of-project job phasing
