Saw Operator Job Description As a saw operator, you will play a crucial role in our custom stone fabrication process. This position involves loading, programming, and offloading our sawjet system using overhead cranes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who has a strong work ethic, a team-first mindset, and a desire to grow within a skilled trade. Responsibilities Operate saws and related equipment to cut stone to specifications. Load and unload slabs using overhead cranes. Read and follow blueprints, templates, and cutting plans. Perform quality checks and routine maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with team members to meet production goals. Essential Skills Interest in learning and working in a team environment. Ability to follow standard procedures and safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience preferred. Experience in stone, manufacturing, fabrication, or construction is a plus. Ability to lift and move 80+ lbs regularly. Comfortable standing for long periods. Must be able to work on feet. Work Environment Work in a clean production shop environment that is wet due to water involved in the cutting process. Expect dust, noise, and machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
